Sports day practice

Reception have been out practicing for our sports day tomorrow. 

Fingers crossed the weather is good.

As much as the weather held out we were all outside being active. 

A wonderful day had by all!  

Sports day is here!

Ladybirds enjoyed a great sports day! 

We all had so much fun and tried our best to work as a team. 

Even the young ones, mums and dads had a little go. 

Well done everyone. 

Peter Pan workshop in Reception

Yesterday we had a very busy day.  We went on an adventure with a lost boy to Neverland.

We rescued Peter Pan's treasure back from Captain Hook and the naughty pirates.

We were also luck in being able to see the year 6 production of the Lion King.

This weeks learning activities will be based around the theme of,  

"Pirates and Mermaids"

On Monday all of the children took part in a Peter Pan workshop.

We meet Tiggles one of the Lost Boys and Peter Pan friends.

We played lots of games with Tiggles and pretended to be characters from the Peter Pan story.

Wendy - "Don't do that, don't do that!"

We were mermaids and mermen.

Tiger Lily - "wah, wah, wah!"

We made cool poses when we were the Lost Boys!

We sat on a mermaids magical rock and it made us do funny things!

It made us laugh!

It made us fall asleep!

It turned us into animals!

"ROAR!"

We helped Tiggles to find the treasure in Captain Hooks cabin and return it to Peter Pan.

We had to pretend to be statues to trick Captain Hook.

Tinker bell granted us all a wish to say thank you for helping Peter Pan

We really enjoyed the workshop and it was a great introduction to our pirates and mermaid week.

We made pirate hats - "Oh, argh my hearties!"

Maths Focus: - We will be focussing on our careful counting skills and counting pirates treasure! We will also be finding the total number of treasure in two groups by counting all of the treasure.
