Reception in bouncing bonnets!

This morning we hopped to school in our beautiful bouncing bonnets and paraded around the playground.

We look amazing and had lots of fun making and wearing our bonnets.

Forest School Easter Egg Hunt

There was a very exciting surprise waiting for the children when they arrived at Forest School today.

The children found all of the eggs....

The Easter Bunny rewarded everybody with a chocolate egg.
It was really tough waiting until the end of the day to eat them!

Some children built a nest big enough for a person (the stone 'egg' didnt hatch though!)

Celebrating our learning!

On Friday 18th March we invited adults into the school to celebrate all our wonderful learning.

Children loved showing off their hard work and all the wonderful progress they have made; as we creep into our final Summer Term of Reception! [Hasn’t it gone by quickly!]

Thank you to all the adult who could make it and for their lovely comments!

Reception did the mile and then some...

We started the day with a sea of red and fancy dress as the children began the day with a special assembly and joyful singing of the Sport Relief 2016 song ‘Step iT Up’

After assembly we limbered up and went outside to begin our 12 laps of the field.  Joining reception were year 6.

There we lots of big smiles as we raced, jogged, walked and even skipped around the field.

Reception happily skip along as year 6 trail behind (or maybe they are on their final laps).

Super speedy!
 Year 6 supporting reception.

How many laps have we done now Jane?

Isaac just kept going.  In the end we had to catch him!

Bumble Bee Class - week beginning 21.03.16

On Monday 21st March the children in Bumble Bees class went on a nursery trip to Godstone Farm.

When we arrived at the farm, we all gathered together in a barn and met the farmers who would be helping us.

Farmer Anita was the morning children's farmer.

We saw lots of animals at the farm ........
Llamas.

Pigs

We saw piglets feeding from their mummy's.

Donkeys

Horses and ponys.

We saw baby lambs who were half an hour old!

The lambs and their mummy's were numbered to help the farmers.

We went on a tractor ride around the farm.

We went to the petting area and we were allowed to stroke a chicken, a chick and a bunny.

The bunny was very soft!

We fed the pigs.

Before we went home we enjoyed playing at the play park.

We travelled home on the bus feeling very tired!

We would like to say a big thank you to all of the grown ups who joined us on our trip.
