If you want to get a head get a hat!

Easter is here again and the children and their parents have been very artistic in creating these hats. Such taste and elegance. Don't forget hold on to your hat to re-vamp for next year.

Forest School planting

We have been sowing wild flower seeds at Forest School. We hope to attract butterflies, bees and ladybirds when the flowers bloom.
First, we raked the soil, then sprinkled some seeds on top.
Next, we put soil on top of the seeds.
Finally, we watered the seeds. We know that plants and seeds need water and sunlight to help them to grow.

Ruby is waiting patiently for our wild flowers to grow!

Planting in Nursery.

We would like to say a big thank you to all of the nursery parents and grandparents who sent into nursery seeds, bulbs and plants for us to grow.  We have planted many of them (and still have lots more to plant!). We look forward to seeing them grow and making our Outdoor Area even more colourful.

Today we took home cress which we grew at Nursery. Look at how it has changed........

Easter in Bumble Bee Class.

This week at Nursery we have completed lots of fun Easter activities.

We shared why Easter is a special time and how it is celebrated by families.
"Its Easter! We see lambs and egg chicks. Me and mummy are going to put special things on a Easter hat" Carys.
"Eggs hatch at Easter time and chicks are inside. We eat chocolate eggs" Kishen.
"We go to the farm and see baby lambs and chicks. I go to church with mummy and Jonny" Alice.
"The Easter bunny comes and delivers chocolate eggs. Some people go to church to celebrate" Jack.

We have been busy in the Writing Area tracing Easter patterns.

We made Easter cards for our families.

We counted vegetables for the Easter bunny.
"He would like 7 carrots"

We painted Easter eggs using cotton buds and paint.

We used a potato masher to make Easter egg prints!

On the interactive white board we patterned Easter eggs.

We had to count the correct number of Easter eggs for the teddy.

We enjoyed our grown ups coming to our "Easter Stay and Play" session.
