It's so great that we can use the internet to do so many things like finding out information and playing games! But we must remember to stay safe and sensible if we are allowed to use the internet! Watch this short clip below...

Frozen Week at Nursery!

We are enjoying our Frozen week at Nursery.  Look at the fun activities we have completed. 

We dripped paint onto our picture and then blew it to make a magical Elsa picture. 

We painted pictures of our favourite characters in the story.

We made a palace for Princess Elsa using the wooden bricks. 

We wrote invitations to a Frozen party! 

What a lot of penguins!

The ladybirds and caterpillars have worked hard to produce this fantastic penguin work. There is research, stories, models, maths and their own penguin fact books.

Today's sound is 'i'

Today's we learnt about the sound 'i'. We made igloos and wrote the letter i on the interactive white board. Can you remember any words that began with i? 

Penguin Research in Ladybird Class!

In Ladybird Class, we have been compiling a class book all about penguins from your fantastic homework you did over the last week!




Some children decided they would like to find a picture, to support their fact, on the internet!





Here is a video clip of Hamza selecting his picture and talking about how he would get it off of the computer!

We went to the printer room to collect the image. Look at Hamza's reaction!

We have also really enjoyed watching some funny videos of some silly penguins! This is our favourite one!

Interactive art.

Ote is using the interactive pen to create art. She can select colour and pens or effects, what a fantastic picture.

Using the Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) and Internet!

Here you can see Jacob very busy using the IWB, to practise applying his phonic knowledge, by writing a sentence.

                               

We've also been very busy this week compiling our own Penguin Fact book, using all the children's fantastic penguin research they did at home!

Interactive phonics!

During our phonics learning we used an interactive game to find 'igh' words.

We learnt our about 'triagraphs' ask your child what this means.

What's the weather like today?

In Bumble Bee class we are learning to identify and describe different types of weather. Everyday different children are chosen to complete the class weather chart and weather diary. Can you talk about the weather on the way to Nursery? 

This is our "Winter Explorers" role play area. We enjoy having adventures and a sing song around the campfire!
